Liberty Nugget : A nugget a day keeps the state at bay !

Bottom up works according to Lisa Nandy

Must be honest I have a lot of time for Lisa Nandy , she was one of the few MPs on the Labour party side that understood the feelings of this voters on the otherside of the red wall especially when it came to the issue of Brexit and the feelings of small town UK.

She argues that when the club went into administration last year they raised £120,000 within 48 hours , but the “powers that be can are so slow” , I am assuming by this she means the state stepping in and assisting Wigan football club (after all she in a MP) , but in all honesty I am not surprised at all – to be honest I’m surprised that she is surprised.

Bottom up campaigns organised at the grassroots that will always be able to galvanise their fans. When compared to the state , distant far away in London less responsive, will provide a labored response at best, or one when when it is far too late.

I wish political parties would enable their electorate to take part in Civic life , by having a local population that was less burdened by heavy taxes perhaps the fans could have bought the club ? Or a local business person , but instead we have a situation where we here are taxed a large amount with not much left over, and the only ones with any spare capital to buy into the English League are those with money from abroad in low tax jurisdictions such as HK , the politicians are partly to blame for this mess in the first place but it always feel there is a another sticking plaster they want to apply to fix a problem they created in the first place.
